"Bought the older version of the Curl Shampoo and Conditioner and loved it, which made me think the new formulation would be even better, so I got this bundle at the beginning of this year and finally used all of the items. Generally, I was very disappointed with the performance of most of them. The shampoo does not lather at all, barely giving the feeling that it is clean afterwards, which I remember not being the case in the older formulation, it still had a good lather even if it didn't have as many kinds of plant oils. The hair mask does not even feel like a hair mask, it has an almost jelly-like consistency, and demands a lot of product to feel like it covered my whole length, and even then does not feel like it hydrates at all, arguably the main reason for using a hair mask. But if you are looking for a lighter-weight mask for your curls, this could be a good option. The "foaming gel" barely foams, which could be either a change in the formula or the bottle; either way, one of the main selling points of it does not work. . . although it is still useful and does the job advertised (Define + Defrizz, with medium hold). The conditioner is the one saving grace; it is very hydrating and thick, so you don't have to use as much to cover the whole hair, which, as someone with a lot of hair, I am thankful for, and the main reason this bundle even gets two stars."
